The new DLC for Valve’s online shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) was the best-selling item on Steam last week.
The new expansion debuted on September 22 and brings content including new maps, missions and game modes. This will no doubt help revitalize CS: GO following reports that the new Prime business model introduced by Valve for the free shooter had resulted in a 17% drop in the number of players.
Amazon’s long-awaited New World MMO debuts on Steam at # 2 after a number of delays, while NetEase’s battle royale title Naraka: Bladepoint holds at # 4 week after week. Preorders for FIFA 22 were the fifth best-selling item of the week, ahead of Bethesda’s Deathloop, which was No.1 last week and fell to No.6
Beaver town building title Timberborn ranked seventh, as did Valve’s Index VR headset kit. Meanwhile, the rest of Steam Top Ten have a common theme; simulators.
