Nordic Game 21 Fall (Online)


Celebrating its 20th event, Nordic Game is proud to unveil its speaker line for NG21 Autumn. Highlights include Denis Dyack (CEO, Apocalypse); Tulay TcNally (Director of Inclusive Design, EA Games); and video game writer Antony Johnston (Resident Evil Village and Dead Space). Since its inception in 2004, Nordic Game has grown into the most important gaming industry conference in Europe, attended by industry professionals from all over the world. NG21 Autumn will run exclusively online from November 3-5.

NG21 Autumn continues the tradition of delivering unprecedented insight, stories and speeches from top talent in the industry. This year’s speakers follow in the footsteps of gaming luminaries Hideo Kojima (Kojima Productions), Tim Schafer (Double Fine) and Ed Fries (Microsoft), NG21 Autumn’s speaker lineup includes:

Denis Dyack, Co-Founder and CEO, Apocalypse – Dyack is a gaming industry veteran with over 30 years of experience on hit titles like Blood Omen and Eternal Darkness. I’m currently working on Deadhaus Sonata, a narrative action RPG where you play as the walking dead fighting the living.

Tülay McNally, Director of Inclusive Design, EA Games – Leading a “Nordic gaming impact session”, Tülay McNally will discuss inclusive design and its impact on the development of products and services. With a philosophy of including as many people as possible, the session considers gender, age, sexuality, ethnicity, culture and customs, beliefs and more.

Antony Johnston, Writer – Antony is a New York Times bestselling author who turned to games. His credits include Dead Space and the recent Resident Evil Village. During the fall of NG21, Antony offered a “fireside chat” to discuss his work and methodology.

Petri Alanko, Thomas Puha, Remedy Entertainment – In this joint fireside conversation, Remedy Communications Director Thomas Puha and award-winning composer Petri Alanko provide insight into their work on Alan Wake Remastered and the journey that has gone allowed to revive an 11 year old classic. public.

Anette StÃ¥løy, CMO, Dirtybit – Anette is CMO of Norwegian studio Dirtybit, developer of the Fun Run series, with over 130 million downloads worldwide. Anette will host the Nordic CEO’s opening panel talking about the current state of the industry.

The talks are only one part of NG21 Autumn’s schedule of live events. These events include for the first time Champions of Mobile, a new series of sessions focused on the mobile market in partnership with Niantic, Scopely and App Annie. Participants can also enjoy roundtables and panels, expert presentations and take full advantage of networking opportunities before the event culminates with the grand finale of the Nordic Game Discovery competition. The Nordic Game Discovery Contest (NGDC) is an exciting and competitive challenge where selected game projects are presented live in pitch competitions at partner events across Europe.

Nordic Game will return as a physical event at the Slagthuset in Malmö in May 2022. For the first time, the conference will run alongside the previously delayed Nordic Game Expo consumer event.
